EcoTricity Anaerobic Digestion Plant

URGENT! – #SAVEOURLANES
Many residents will now be aware of the up and coming application of the intended EcoTricity Anaerobic Digestion plant to be designated in Fiddington. We as a surrounding Parish have the oppurtunity to respond to the application as soon as possible as this will effect our roads considerably and the amount of traffic that will be added to the day will be unacceptable. Please also join the forces on www.saveourlanes.uk.
There will be a table available to get more information at MORRISONS TEWKESBURY between 9:30am-5:30pm with the SAVE OUR LANES group. please show your support.

Reasons why you should OBJECT – Comments should be as individual as possible rather than a generic letter.

  • Use local knowledge – You may be able to give the planning authority useful information they do not have. Try to use as much local knowledge as possible. Find out anything that could be relevant, from groups of trees valued locally and wildlife to drainage/flooding problems with the land. Increase in traffic on unsuitable roads, too narrow, no passing places (how would the tractors pass for example?), concern regarding damage to verges already damaged and safety of pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders that regularly use these lanes.
  • Concerns for driver safety regarding ALL junctions off A38 and the A46 as well as the large vehicles negotiating tight blind narrow bends on both routes from these A roads and will cause a significant impact to road safety.
  • Out of character – The design of the development, its scale and use, is out of character with its surroundings, This site is within open green countryside and the proposal is for large scale buildings (drawings show a height of 13.5 metres above ground and 3.5 metres wide for some of the buildings) with inappropriate access for the proposed traffic – in an inappropriate location
